Security measures at Indore's Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport were intensified on October 5, 2024, following a bomb threat, police officials reported. The threat was received via an email sent to the airport’s security in-charge, warning of potential bombings at Indore and other airports across the country. An FIR was filed at the Aerodrum police station, and investigations have been launched.

Indore Additional Commissioner of Police, Amit Singh, confirmed that cybersecurity teams are working to trace the origin of the email, while the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and local police have ramped up security. This includes increased searches, dog squad deployments, and frequent drills.

The threat comes amid similar warnings to airports in Gujarat and railway stations in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, raising concerns during the festive season. However, previous threats at Indore Airport were determined to be hoaxes. Authorities remain vigilant as investigations continue.
