ADAPT / CASS

ADAPT stands for Access Develop and Performance Training.

CASS stands for CAE Aircrew Selection Systems

CASS was being used by CAE for the selection assessment test of their cadet pilot program. Nowadays CAE uses ADAPT for the cadet assessment test.

Flightrule Indigo cadet program also uses CASS / ADAPT as the part of the selection process of Indigo Cadet Pilot program

It is a general assessment of the candidate’s personality and skills. In this stage, candidates have to go through a series of tests.

It can consist of psycho-motor capability test, tests involving basic flying skills, a test based on the pilot abilities to do multitasking and process information in a stressful environment.

To assess the pilots with different experience levels, CASS / ADAPT has various difficulty levels but the basics remain the same.

Following stages are conducted in CASS/ ADAPT Assessment.

Flight Simulation

CUT-E

CUT-E test is a highly popular method of assessment of both ab-initio and experienced pilot.

CUT-E test is also the part of the selection process in different Cadet Pilot Program in India and abroad.

CUT-E is being used in the Indigo cadet pilot program selection process of Skyborne Indigo Cadet Pilot and L3 Haris Indigo Cadet Pilot Program.

It consists of a set of tests which are compliant with the standards used by all major airlines during the screening process.

Following stages are conducted in CUT-E Assessment.

Psycho-motor & Psycho-technical tests

Computerized simulation tests

Verbal Reasoning

Mathematics

Physics

PILAPT

PILAPT stands for Pilot Aptitude Test

The PILAPT test, or pilot aptitude test, assesses a range of skills and capabilities associated with pilots.

The PILAPT is the major component of the assessment day and will have to clear this stage to get eligible for the next one.

Generally, PILAPT comprises of six modules

Mechanical Reasoning

Spatial Orientation/Awareness

Numeracy Skills

Hand/Eye Coordination

Psychomotor Tracking
